Many like their wine STRAIGHT up but, believe it or not, some like their WINE ON THE ROCKS!
If you happen to be one of the select few who like their WOTR with a TWIST, look no further! I’m proud to bring you 7,5 minutes of pure viewing pleasure, or maybe not – you be the judge.
After months of trailer making in my spare time WOTR has finally started to take shape. I definitely knew it wouldn’t be easy but neither did I think it would be this complicated… thus the title and documentation of the fact. It was quite a leap from the opening wine “blah-blah” to the Oktoberfest blind tasting but as the saying goes, “when in doubt, improvise!”.
It’s not always easy getting a vision in your melon down on film but I’m gonna keep working hard at it until I get it right!
Thanks for tuning in, please leave us your comments and yes, keep on keepin’ ON!

Hey Finkus, you see, your not an actor but you have the spirit of a clown so i see you better en plain air… go on!!!!
September 15th, 2009 at 5:15 pm
Just when I thought I was out – YOU PULLED ME BACK IN!
Congrats to the first episode, man! Love it. No artificial ingredients, no sweetener, just the pure taste. Sound is definitely cool. Merish: nice cut! I would say ” a cut above the rest” – not to compare with the hysteric wine shows you see on other sites.
Finkus, absolutely relaxed! I could stare for hours. Maybe you wanna drop just a little bit deeper into depiction of the wines? And have you considered to add german subtitles?
Thanks for the book reference! Oh, and big mama in pink is my personal darling ;)
Salute!
Claudio

Nice one! Congrats! It truly rocks even if we didn’t see much about wine ;) but wine is also like that: you never really get what you expect! Hope 2 see more! Grüße, Alex

September 15th, 2009 at 6:58 pm
Awesome! I love it!!!! Perfect mix of info, humor, b.s., and music…
September 15th, 2009 at 7:06 pm
Si, mucho B.S.!! Slowly but surely we’re getting the hang of this so you can expect more “real” info in the future… about wine. But I still refuse to do the typical sit down and ramble on thing :-) Heck, I can do that at home.
Thanks to everyone for their feedback, every bit helps.

September 16th, 2009 at 1:32 pm
spot has been made really good with good sound and quality! but it’s nearly no content in.
so i haven’t seen the benefit yet! i keep on following your show and hope that there will be more content soon :P
go on!
September 16th, 2009 at 1:45 pm
@Adrian,
Thanks for taking the time to comment, yes, you hit the nail on the head. We did shoot a lot of “content” but I just didn’t like the style it was shot in… therefore the deviation.
But we will surely be putting together a healthy mix of both style and content in the next episode.
We hope you keep tuning in.
All the best,
F.B.

A good start with italian wines and beer.
Why not an italian version? Or, better, an Abruzzese version?
A presto,
Davide

Davide,
thank you for adding your comment. Look forward to meeting you in Veneto next week and getting tips from a seasoned blogger.
Claudio wants German subs for my English vids and you want Italian vids… hhhhmmmmm – which would be German and English subs… vid in Abruzzese would mean Italian, German and English subs. I think we have to go full screen to make space for all the subtitles. But nothing’s impossible ;-)
Se vu, potze parla n’dialett abruzzes’ durand’ l’intervist la settiman’ prossim’ mentr’ che tu pirl’ lu talian. Va bon?
The only words I know in Veneto dialect are “Dio Can!” Wouldn’t make for much of an interview but I can surely use it for effect if you like ;-)

Hallo Michael,
vielen Dank, das freut mich sehr und wir geben weiterhin unser Bestes. Reality Show… hhhhmmmm… I can feel the wheels turning already ;-)

Hi Patrick,
I apologise for the late reply to your comment, it somehow landed in the spam file.
No, we we’ll definitely be going international when it comes to the wines. The coming episodes (our Veneto tour divided into 5 parts are of course Italian) but I’ll be tasting wines from other regions as well in later shows.
Yes, it is quite a bit of work – we’re definitely not shooting and editing in typical vidblog style. The post production takes a couple of days. Also one of the reasons why we’re going to be splitting up the show’s concept – cool, fast paced shows will be more general & fun themed and tastings will be done in “Finkus cam” style – HD flip cam – that way we can turn out more material on a more regular basis.
Thanks for tuning in.

Four trailers, but only one real episode in four weeks?
Oktober 13th, 2009 at 11:39 pm
Hi Enrice, thanks for the feedback. We didn’t think anyone was actually expecting a 2nd episode so we weren’t in a rush :-) We’ll get on it ASAP.

Hi Mel,
